University of Bonn graduate (Catholic Theology, Philosophy, Oriental Studies), study and project stays in Jerusalem (German Academic Exchange Service 1993/94, Robert Bosch Foundation 1998/99)

PhD studies (1999-2003) in the framework of a DFG-funded interdisciplinary research project on interreligious relations in the 20^th century. Starting in 2002, work as advocacy officer on human rights in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for the German church development agencies EED and MISEREOR.

Dominic Ko Ko Lwin (Myanmar)

When Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar in April 2008 and left 84.000 people dead and hundreds of thousands without shelter, it was Dominic Ko Ko Lwin, KAAD-Alumnus, who played an important role in the rebuilding process. According to Father Henry Eikhlein, director of Caritas Pathein, Lwin was as a Caritas project coordinator „of greatest importance for the success of the rehabilitation project”.
