Studies of Catholic Theology at Tübingen and Freiburg - Focus on Religious Studies – Religionsgeschichte (New Religious Movements, African Theology, Islam). 2007 PhD with a thesis on African Independent Churches (AICS); work on the dissertation in Western Kenya and Nairobi. Scholarship holder of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and Cusanuswerk.

2003-2006 Training as pastoral Theologian in three parishes of the Archdiocese of Freiburg.

1991-1997 Voluntary work, later project manager in the social-pastoral work of the Catholic Church in Western Kenya.

Since 2007, Head of Africa Department KAAD.

Dominic Ko Ko Lwin (Myanmar)

When Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar in April 2008 and left 84.000 people dead and hundreds of thousands without shelter, it was Dominic Ko Ko Lwin, KAAD-Alumnus, who played an important role in the rebuilding process. According to Father Henry Eikhlein, director of Caritas Pathein, Lwin was as a Caritas project coordinator „of greatest importance for the success of the rehabilitation project”.
