From October on, the new Chairman of the KAAD Board of Directory is Prelate Dr. Klaus Krämer (photo: missio). The President of missio Aachen follows Cathedral Provost Dr. Wilhelm Gegenfurtner (Regensburg) who headed the board since 1997. Dr. Gerhard Albert, Executive Director of Renovabis, was reelected as Deputee Chairman. We are very grateful to Gegenfurtner for the long-lasting and fruitful cooperation, particularly for arranging a Myanmar-scholarship-program, financed by the Diocese of Regenburg.

We are also expecting a new President to be appointed soon, because Professor Reiter will resign for reasons of age.

Further, there have been alterations in other KAAD-bodies:
To the KAAD General Assembly have been admitted: Archabbot Jeremias Schroeder (St. Ottilien) as representatives of the missionary orders and Vicar-General Theo Paul (Osna-brück), representing the dioceses.
Prof. Dr. Fabian Wittreck (Professor of Public Law at the University of Münster) has been named new member of the Academic Council. Form March 2012 on he will evaluate scholarship applications from the field of law.

Dominic Ko Ko Lwin (Myanmar)

When Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar in April 2008 and left 84.000 people dead and hundreds of thousands without shelter, it was Dominic Ko Ko Lwin, KAAD-Alumnus, who played an important role in the rebuilding process. According to Father Henry Eikhlein, director of Caritas Pathein, Lwin was as a Caritas project coordinator „of greatest importance for the success of the rehabilitation project”.
